Should I Be Worried About My Dreams?
Should I Be Worried About My Dreams?
on 07/28/2010 09:07:40
I've been thinking about this lately. Since I was 13 I've been having dreams that normally would scare you but yet I have always been calm waking up (except when it has to do with high heights and dropping rapidly). Lately though I've had sad dreams and inner fear dreams, and they seem so real. The last one I had, my fiancee had told me to leave and I moved back to my parents' home to share a bedroom with my niece. When I finally woke up, I almost thought he was gone but he was next to me awake. He hugged me after I told him about it but it worries me considering I've rarely ever dreamed about who I'm dating. Also, only after three weeks of knowing my now fiance I had a dream of him being shot to death (and that was one dream that scared me). I dunno...but if you have any suggestions about this I would love to hear any. ^_^ Sorry it was a long one.

I had a veru surreal dream the other day that didn't make much sense at all. I was at home in the kitchen when John le Mesurier randomly entered th house. it's pretty strange, seeing as he's been dead for thirty years or so. but it seemed perfectly natural in the dream. anwya, he cme in, and the he grabbed the sharp vegatable knife and the started running after me. suddenly day turned to night and I ran upstairs into my parent's bedroom and turned off all te lights. as he came into the looking he turned into Terrance Hardiman who leered at me with the knife raised, and I backed away into the wall and the last i rember is him coming very close to be with the knife glingin tn the moonlight before I woke up :/ it was just really really wierd :S

There is no reason to ever be scared of your dreams, although you might be scared in them. Something is stressing you out, find out what it is and take the appropriate steps.

You might want to see a psychiatrist. Dreams aren't usually showing you the future, but rather showing you what your conscious mind fears or is thinking of (Although sometimes they are for showing the future, and at times they're just damn pointless).

Think about how many dreams you've had in your life.

Now, how many of them came true?

I actually had weird dreams about my husband when we got engaged. It was about me not finding him anywhere, worrying myself sick then discovering he's in Italy, so I hop on a bus (even in my dream I didn't have a bloody car) to go there to see if he's fine. When I arrive I discover he has another woman there and then he sends me directly to hell and tells me to fuck off...so, I attributed this repeated dream to jitters and fear of losing him. I know it's a pain, but it will probably pass when you get the self-assurance you need :)

Thanks. I do think that's all it is since he's the first guy that I've ever had a deep connection with.

It's probably just the worrying, then. And plus if you have issues with your previous relationships, then it's certainly not surprising that you have a lot of fear in you.
