all my dad cares about is drinking, sleeping, eating, && football. oh yeah, and OCCASIONALLY my mom. its like i dont know him at all sometimes, and we've never had "bonding time".
He has a temper and thats where i get it from, but he always blows up on me for the stupidest reasons. me-"dad will you take me to go take my permit test?" him-(litterally) "WHY SHOULD I TAKE YOU WHEN I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO!!" my dads unemployed- he has NOTHING to do. and thats only one exapmle.
he acts WAY differently to me when my moms around. it sucks.. i just wish my family could be normal.

Well, I don't even know who my real father was. The father that I grew up with and my mom got divorced from when I was in the fifth grade was my step-father.
omg that must be really bad! i feel so sorry for you, but i tell you what you should do... comfront him even if it doesn't do much hopefully he will understand and get the message that you want to do more things together. do try it and mail me back if it works or not.

I'm sorry. My relationship with my dad is similar. You can message me if you need to talk.
:( I'm sorry. But at least you'll know what NOT to do when you have a family of your own.
ya i had it worse u should fel lucky my dad was an alchoholic for my whole life and most of his life, on the day of my 13th birthday, he died from liver failure, so cherish what yo have before its gone
That's very sad, I'm sorry. I'm VERY fortunate to have a great family. It's surprising I have a good family because they both grew up in homes like yours; except my mom got phsyically abused a lot. But the good thing is that you see that your family's not normal. A lot of people grow up thinking that's the way it should be. And so yeah I grumped this. :)
I'm not very close to my dad and oddly enough, I'm not so sad about it.
He was never around that much when I grew up, always at work or with his friends. When my mom and him divorced, I honestly didn't miss him that much.
Still sad to hear about yours though. *internet-hug* :)

yeah, but i still see him once in a while, in fact, i just saw him 3 days ago, as we were going home from the hospital,
he only shows up in my elementary graduation, mu high school graduation, etc... just important events in my life but he never stays too long,
i guess he just wants to be a part of the culminating moments of my life.. =D
