Valie Sounds like a completely normal way to react, from your side I mean. You try your best and this person seems to not care about your feelings at all. I don't think you should feel bad at all for feeling this way.

My cat is dead.
He was run over. I've had him for as long as I can remember. I loved him very very much. He was very sweet. And now he is dead. I feel terrible because the past few nights he would meow at my door to come in and get some love but I ignored him. And now he's dead. And I can't love him ever again.

Asyra I want to hug you right now, but I'll go get my cat and pay extra attention to him for an hour to make me feel better instead.
Asyra My brother's kitten recently got himself caught in a phone chord and somehow accidentally hung itself. I tried to make a grump about it, but it upset me too much and i paid a lot of attention to my cat instead...

paste I had a friend whose dog was run over by a UPS truck. Losing a loved pet is a tough thing, especially that suddenly.
Michael Pratti It's terrible losing a pet. Both of our Chihuahuas died within a month of each other. One was 11 the other was 18. I had to break the news to my daughter both times. I feel your pain
Cutecgirl76 losing a pet, is losing part of your family. I've cried more over my dear cat then my grandmother. Isn't that awful?
